Terms of Service
The agreement
These terms govern use of ShireOS, a church management platform operated by Crenel Systems ("we"). By creating an account or using the service, you and the church you represent agree to them.
The service and plans
ShireOS provides congregation management, giving, volunteer, document, communication, and civic-information tools. Paid plans begin with a 14-day trial and bill monthly (or annually at a discount) through Stripe. You can cancel anytime; service continues to the end of the paid period.
Your data is yours
Churches own the records they enter or sync into ShireOS. We process that data only to provide the service (see the Privacy Policy). You may export your data at any time, and upon account closure we will delete it after a reasonable export window.
Giving
ShireOS charges no platform fee on donations. Payment processing is provided by Stripe under its own terms, and standard processing fees apply. Donations are transactions between the giver and the church; we are not a party to them, and churches are responsible for their own receipts and tax compliance.
AI features
AI features in ShireOS draft, rank, summarize, and answer — they do not act on their own. They never send messages, move money, or delete records; a person reviews and decides. AI output can be wrong and is provided as assistance, not as fact.
Civic information is education, not advice
Legislative and ballot analysis is doctrinal and civic education offered to churches and their members. It is not legal advice, tax advice, or an instruction on how to vote, and Crenel Systems does not coordinate with campaigns. Churches remain responsible for their own compliance with laws applicable to them.
Acceptable use
- Use the service for lawful ministry and organizational purposes.
- No unauthorized access, scraping, reselling, or interference with the service.
- No use of member data outside the trust in which it was entered — a church's records are for that church's ministry.
Availability and warranty
During early access, the service is provided as-is, with reasonable efforts at reliability and prompt communication when things break. We disclaim implied warranties to the extent permitted by law.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amounts your church paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice and an export window except where abuse requires immediate action.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflicts of law.
