Community Standards
Borough Builder is built for real church communities and private, chosen connections. Every member should be able to participate without harassment, threats, exploitation, impersonation, or unwanted contact.
What is not allowed
- Threats, targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, or encouragement of violence.
- Hateful attacks or dehumanizing content directed at a protected class.
- Sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Impersonation, fraud, malicious deception, spam, or repeated unwanted solicitation.
- Sharing another person's private information without permission.
- Content or conduct that violates applicable law or a participating church's published policies.
How safety controls work
- Content safeguards reject unambiguous exploitation, explicit-content solicitation, and direct threats before posting.
- Private reporting is available from member profiles, connection shares, Commerce listings, and Circle content. The reported person is not told who submitted a report.
- Blocking immediately removes private connections and hides that person's profile, shares, Circle posts, and future notifications from the blocker.
- Human review can result in content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, or referral to a participating organization or lawful authority when required.
Getting help
Use the Safety option beside the content whenever possible because it preserves the item and account identifiers needed for review. You can also contact matt@crenelsystems.com. Include “urgent” in the subject for a credible threat of imminent harm. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
Fair review
Context matters, especially in pastoral, scriptural, and civic discussion. Automated safeguards are deliberately narrow; ambiguous reports receive human review. A person affected by an enforcement decision may request review through the safety contact above.
